The Seventh China Renewable Resources Recycling Industry Conference will be held in Tianjin from June 19 to 21, 2021. The "International Forum on Waste Battery Recycling" held during the conference has attracted much attention from the industry.

Effective energy reduction, environmental pollution reduction, car buying subsidies... Compared with traditional fuel vehicles, new energy vehicles have many advantages to be "popular". All countries across the world have taken the development of electric vehicles and the replacement of fuel vehicles as the future development direction, and the development of new energy vehicles has become a global consensus. However, it is still an urgent problem to be solved in the renewable resource utilization industry how to better "treat" the increased waste batteries.
In November 2020, the General Office of the State Council officially released the New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035) (hereinafter referred to as "the Plan"), making it clear that "the development of new energy vehicles" is a necessary path for China to move from a large automotive country to a powerful automotive country, and a strategic initiative to address climate change and promote green development.
Because the power lithium battery contains valuable metal elements and its importance to environment and safety, the scrapping and recycling of power lithium batteries have been put on the national agenda. It is at the right time to enter this emerging market for Battery Science & Technology and it has been working on basic research on the recycling of lithium batteries.
Based on the shape of the battery, it can be divided into cylindrical, square and soft bags. The size varies according to the capacity, and there are more than ten kinds of constituent materials. The battery is directly broken without discharging, so as to avoid electrolyte pollution that may be caused by battery "discharging" under the traditional process from the source. For the harmful gases produced by battery dismantling, the company has also developed a "pollution control unit", which can effectively collect and control unorganized exhaust gases.
Market layout: Eight production bases with a planned total capacity of 400,000 tons
Environment-friendly, efficient, safe ...... Battery Science & Technology developed the whole life cycle management technology of lithium power batteries in the early years, and innovated the "one system for three utilizations", i.e. the integrated monitoring and optimal utilization, gradual utilization and recycling technology in the whole life cycle of power batteries. Among them, more than 30,000 tons of power batteries will be decommissioned in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei alone in 2020. In July 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced the List of Demonstration Project on Recycling Power and Storage Batteries for New Energy Vehicles in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, in which the Battery Tianjin project was listed as a demonstration project for dismantling and recycling.
In June 2020, the 50,000-ton battery dismantling project of Battery Science & Technology held the commencement ceremony, and it is the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei power battery recycling demonstration project. Relying on the domestic leading technology and process with completely independent intellectual property rights, Battery Science & Technology has built the first domestic power battery "charged physical dismantling" base in Tianjin Ziya Circular Economy Park to open up the "last mile" of the industrial chain.
